About Chef Robert Duncan
Chef Duncan is a chef fused musician who found music to be a form of therapy, allowing him to get lost in his craft and breathe again. His experience in the kitchen has given him a sense of discipline and the ability to create experiences that satisfy multiple senses, which he now applies to his music. By bringing together multiple senses through sound, Chef Duncan creates a truly immersive experience for his clients.
Chef Robert T Duncan III is a highly skilled culinary artist, serving savory memories bite by bite. Growing up in Southside Jamaica Queens, New York, the chef’s passion for food began as an admiration for his mother’s eclectic cooking style. As the youngest of three, Duncan would often volunteer to help bring family recipes and dishes to life. Through experimenting in the kitchen, he learned to sprinkle just the right amount of soul in each dish and fused this concept with his love for bringing people together through food.
As the years passed by, Chef Duncan’s passion for cooking intensified. Creating in the kitchen was his purpose and he couldn’t imagine life without it. On his journey of self-discovery, he relocated to Atlanta to earn his “toque blanche” and learn the art of french classic cuisine at Le cordon bleu culinary arts. In 2013, Duncan enrolled in a competitive program, where he and other aspiring talent got the opportunity to learn from some of the top master chefs across the country. Under a rigorous curriculum, he elevated his natural talent by becoming more disciplined and organized in the kitchen. During his studies, Duncan trained under Master Chef Daryl Shular, CMC. Shular, who was the school’s director at the time, scouted him alongside Master Chef John Kanadu to participate in the meaningful experience of joining the school’s award-winning competition team.
Craved Foods catering uses corporate/private events, and meal prep as means to elevate ordinary eating to an opulent experience. As an entrepreneur, his business was birthed out of his desire to create dishes “customized to each diners’ taste buds.” Whether it’s his mouth-watering macaroni and cheese or herb crusted lamb chops with lemon pepper asparagus, a dish is never complete without Chef Duncan’s favorite ingredient, “love.”
